You need to take action. The demand for good 3D artist will only increase. Look around you at movies, advertising, comic books, and illustrations. The demand is ever increasing. Maybe you are not interested in a professional career in 3D? Maybe you are more of a hobbyist? Regardless of your goals there is some kind of magic to be found in 3D. The ability to create and shape your own worlds.
But how do you get started? The learning curve can be very steep indeed and there is a wide range of different software to choose from. In this site we will look at different options. The purpose is to give guidance and advice and above all to get you started in 3D as quick as possible and with as little effort as possible.
There are two very interesting software packages out there that I would recommend as a starting point. Poser and Daz Studio. If you are not familiar with them follow the links on this page to learn more. Both packages will have you up and creating amazing 3D illustrations and animations in no time. But juts as with photography or any other picture related art. Having the tool does not make you an artist. You will of course need to study composition, lighting and colour in order to excel. But that is also part of the fun. You will be amazed at what you can achieve.
There is a wealth of ready made assets for you to include in your artwork should you choose any of this packages. Some of the best known are Renderosity and Daz 3D. Both come highly recommended from me. Here you can acquire models of humans and animals as well as literally thousands of props and clothing to start putting your art together. Both sites also have galleries were other 3D artist display there art and show you what is possible.
